My practice dwells within the categories of painting, sculpture, and furniture. It includes sculptural abstract expressionist paintings, opportunistic tables and sculptures made with found or synthesized materials, experiments in photography and architecture, and a number of sculptural light objects, all of which are informed by a highly entropic artistic process and a rigorous emphasis on craft.
My values as an artist were substantially influenced by the work I made while completing my architectural thesis at Cal Poly SLO: Accident Factory, which was an investigation of the potential that accidents have to inform and generate composition.
